Revealed: The opening Tic Tac Toe move that can't be stopped.
Begin by claiming to be x's. Place an x in the center square, except turn the board 45 degrees before drawing the x. The x will appear to be a plus sign (+). Emma Wickem will then be confused and forfeit by walking away from the board as if she never cared to begin with.
This works every time.

Unfortunately we will never know if said move could stop Lizzie and Bun Bun...
Actually, The Yuba Post has that information:
Lizzie is the exception to the move. She couldn't be beaten at Tic Tac Toe, but only because she always stole the pen. It should be noted that, while unstoppable, this does not technically constitute an "opening move."
And Bun Bun was always more of a backgammon player.
I think this blog is the greatest thing to ever happen to me.
